Youth Camp Have a blast and experience God’s love in a real community.  Youth camp is planned and executed by the diocesan youth director.  It is designed to engage you: Your questions, discussion, feedback, and participation in worship make the Chapel Rock Youth Camp experience incredibly powerful.  You can expect the wild and fun “stuff” – games, adventure, group competition and recreation.  Even more, you will have the opportunity to experience Christ, be challenged and amazed.  Come experience a walk with Jesus in a way you haven’t before.  Bring your friends and come ready for the best week of your year!

Camp at Chapel Rock is a blast whether you are a first-timer or have been coming forever. We think that faith in God both makes sense and helps us to make sense of our lives. We believe in three things: fun, friendships, and looking at the questions we all have: Who are we? Why are we here? We ask these questions through the lens of the Episcopal faith tradition. Jesus had some really interesting things to say that may surprise you. You never have to agree with anyone else's beliefs. We don't have all the answers, but we are willing to help you ask questions and discuss issues of faith in normal language. Fee: $390

ABC Camp

Ankle Biters Camp (ABC) -

Ankle Biters’ Camp is the perfect introduction to Chapel Rock summer camp for young children and parents alike! Young campers will have an authentic camp experience while still keeping their parents or other adult caregivers close enough to feel secure. Children spend time with their parents during mealtimes, story times and prayer, and then have arts and crafts, games, and other camp activities with their counselors and cabin mates apart from parents. Children stay in St. Matthew’s Lodge with counselors just across the road from their parents, who enjoy hotel-like accommodations in St. Barnabas Lodge*. While children are having fun away from their parents, parents may participate in fellowship, guided conversations about faith and family, low- and high-ropes activities, and free time in the fresh Prescott air.

Check-in begins at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Camp ends at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday**.

June 25-28 Grades K-2 with one parent – $231
($175 per child + $56 per parent)
*There are two beds and a private bathroom in each St. Barnabas room; each parent/caregiver attending ABC will share a room with one other person. Roommate requests will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
**ABC families with children returning for Mini Camp may not stay at Chapel Rock between camps. Staff can tell you about fun ways to spend time in Prescott if you ask!

Mini Camp -

Mini Camp is a shortened independent camp experience. Mini Campers will join the older campers for music, stories, and fun, and will also have special activities just for them. This is the ideal time to introduce young children to camp!

Check-in begins at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Children must be checked out by 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, after a 9:00 a.m. closing Eucharist and slide show. Families are invited to attend!

Chapel Rock Family Camp

Unplug and Reconnect

Family Camp is an opportunity to use your family vacation time to unplug from the busyness of daily life and reconnect with your children and with the God who made you a family. It is challenging in this over-programmed, screen-filled culture to take the time out to be present to the people in our families. Chapel Rock is a place where screens are put away and there is space and time to listen to God and to each other. We will experience prayer, music, free time exploring the beauty of Prescott, and old-fashioned camp fun, like arts and crafts, a campfire, the ropes course, and games. Invest in your family, and come join us!

Lodging will be in Cox Hall, St. Matthew’s Lodge, Kleindienst Lodge, Taylor Lodge, and Pritzlaff Lodge. Large bunk rooms will be shared by two families; friend requests are honored on a first come, first served basis. There is an additional fee for families requesting a private room.*

Check-in begins after dinner on Thursday evening; camp ends after closing Eucharist on Sunday morning.

Camp Counselor Application

Camp Counselors

Caring Leaders Wanted

If you love kids, summer camp, leadership, and sharing the love of Jesus, apply to become a Camp Counselor! Here’s what some past counselors had to say about their time serving at Chapel Rock:

“I’ve truly poured myself into all my kids over the course of camp and in return they’ve taught me lessons I didn’t know I needed to learn. I am so thankful for this opportunity!”

“Camp is the best experience I’ve had all summer. It really allowed me to experience grace in a different way that I’ve never felt before. It was exhausting physically, mentally, and spiritually, yet this truly allowed me to rely on the Lord for ALL of my needs.”

“Camp is a place to let your true personality run free while growing closer to God. A place to create meaningful friendships that will last a lifetime. A place to learn more about yourself, whether physically, emotionally, or spiritually. A place to look forward to coming back to.”

Chapel Rock is seeking responsible and caring leaders who live enthusiastically and care deeply about building relationships with others. We are looking for applicants who want to impact the lives of children and youth positively and who understand the importance of their position as mentors for young people. It is important for the staff to have the ability to communicate honestly and openly, to stay positive when challenged, to problem solve creatively, and to participate energetically. Working at camp is demanding, and staff members need to know how to stay balanced and how to deal with stress. Chapel Rock looks for Camp Counselors who enjoy having fun and who inspire others to do the same.

All applicants must be at least 18 years old and have graduated from high school by the beginning of training week. Staff are required to be present for counselor training week and all four weeks of camp. Applications are accepted beginning January 1. Once your application is received, a confirmation will be sent to you and an interview may be scheduled. Not everyone will receive an interview opportunity. This is based on your application, pastoral recommendation, and responses to the personal questions. Interviews will take place in person or by Skype.

We have filled all of the counselor positions for this summer. Please check back for Summer 2018!

Chapel Rock 60s Camp

Camp 60's More Or Less

Camp 60’s is a delightful summer retreat for adult seniors. It is located in the cool pines of Chapel Rock, on the outskirts of Prescott Arizona.

Camp days are devoted to keynote speakers and discussions in the mornings and workshops or study (or nice naps) in the afternoons. Evenings are times for music and fun. Also, there are normally morning meditations and an evening prayer or prayer service. We break camp after breakfast on Friday morning. The camp rate ($200.00 for double occupancy) includes four nights lodging and five days of great food, interesting activities, and a generally rewarding experience. Accommodations are in two motel-type lodges that are handicap accessible).
