The Ideal Applicant

  • It is important for a Camp Counselor to have the ability to communicate honestly and openly, to stay positive when challenged, to problem solve creatively, and to participate energetically.

  • Working at camp is demanding, and Camp Counselors need to know how to stay balanced and how to deal with stress.

  • Chapel Rock looks for Camp Counselors who enjoy having fun and who inspire others to do the same.

All applicants must be at least 18 years old and have graduated from high school by the first day of training week, May 26, 2024. Counselors are required to be present for counselor training, all of summer camp and family camp. Once your application is received, a confirmation will be sent to you and an interview may be scheduled. Not everyone will receive an interview opportunity. This is based on your application, references, and responses to the personal questions. Interviews will take place either in person or via Zoom.

“I’ve truly poured myself into all my kids over the course of camp and in return they’ve taught me lessons I didn’t know I needed to learn. I am so thankful for this opportunity!”
