Join Our Summer Team

If you love kids, summer camp, leadership and sharing the love of Jesus, apply to become a Camp Counselor and join us for an unforgettable summer!

Chapel Rock is seeking responsible and caring leaders who live enthusiastically and care deeply about building relationships with others. We are looking for applicants who want to impact the lives of children and youth positively and who understand the importance of their position as mentors for young people.

The Ideal Applicant

  • It is important for a Camp Counselor to have the ability to communicate honestly and openly, to stay positive when challenged, to problem solve creatively, and to participate energetically.

  • Working at camp is demanding, and Camp Counselors need to know how to stay balanced and how to deal with stress.

  • Chapel Rock looks for Camp Counselors who enjoy having fun and who inspire others to do the same.

“I’ve truly poured myself into all my kids over the course of camp and in return they’ve taught me lessons I didn’t know I needed to learn. I am so thankful for this opportunity!”

All applicants must be at least 18 years old and have graduated from high school by the first day of training week, May 25, 2025. Counselors are required to be present for counselor training, all of summer camp and family camp. Once your application is received, a confirmation will be sent to you and an interview may be scheduled. Not everyone will receive an interview opportunity. This is based on your application, references, and responses to the personal questions. Interviews will take place either in person or via Zoom.

“Camp is a place to let your true personality run free while growing closer to God. A place to create meaningful friendships that will last a lifetime. A place to learn more about yourself, whether physically, emotionally, or spiritually. A place to look forward to coming back to.”
