Kelly Wood - Executive Director

Kelly draws on 20+ years of experience at Chapel Rock working with staff and guests to create outstanding educational and retreat experiences. Kelly graduated from Prescott College with a Bachelors degree in Outdoor Program Administration, started working on the ropes course and has never looked back. In his current role he manages staff, supervises summer camp, helps with ACOS, and ensures every guest has a great experience. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family.

Joseph Stanczak - Program Director

Joseph grew up in New Jersey exploring the forests, hills, and mountains of Western NJ and upstate New York. Inspired by the Blue Ridge Mountains, he then moved to the Carolinas where he studied Recreation Management at Appalachian State University. Always involved in the youth camp industry, he has 15+ years of experience including working abroad at a camp in Russia. He loves working on the challenge course and helping youth and adults develop their skills and reach their goals. He enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and spending time with his wife, two sons and daughter.

 
 
 

Haley Reining (she/her) - Outdoor Education Program Manager

Haley grew up in the Valley and still remembers attending science camp in Prescott as a sixth grader. Her lifelong love of natural sciences led her to earn a degree in Environmental Studies from Northern Arizona University and work with organizations like the National Park Service and Heritage Park Zoo and Wildlife Sanctuary. With over five seasons as an outdoor educator and now serving as the Outdoor Education Program Manager at Chapel Rock, she loves helping create the same memorable camp experiences that first inspired her.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Zach Stallman - Challenge Course Manager

 

Zach he leads outdoor experiences that promote teamwork, personal growth, and adventure. With a degree in Adventure Education from Prescott College, he has a strong foundation in outdoor exploration and leadership development. Zach designs and facilitates challenge course programs that help individuals and groups build trust, collaborate, and push their limits in a supportive environment. His work fosters self-awareness, resilience, and confidence in participants. Outside of work, Zach enjoys hiking, rock climbing, camping, and inspiring others to connect with nature and personal growth.
